Miranda crush

I have become slightly obsessed with Miranda Kerr. You could say I have a girl crush on her. She's absolutely gorgeous, married to a gorgeous, talented man, has a seemingly perfect baby and looks better than ever after giving birth. What's not to love?
Not until recently though have I paid attention to her impeccable style. Also helps when she's a David Jones ambassador and I recognise the Australian designers she's wearing!

One day I will wear leather pants, a classic shirt, killer heels and sunnies. And I will own it! *sigh*

I'm back!

Hello!! Yes, I'm still alive and well and very sorry I haven't blogged for a ridiculous amount of time. Yes, it was ridiculous. It was a combination of extremely slow internet and a few life changing things that had me feeling quite sad. Which is a poor excuse really. To add to that, all those people who had told me weddings were so stressful and consuming, especially as they got closer, well, I never really believed them. But, that all started becoming reality. Actually, I believe those people more and more each day.

So, in a hope to escape the craziness that this wedding has become I will continue blogging. I hope you will continue reading! During this break I've never had so many people tell me they enjoyed it and wanted to hear more from me. Who would have thought? What surprised me most was the amount of males who told me they had read my blog. Yes, I'm still a little confused. Maybe trying to get into the female brain?? Hmm...?

Cake in a jar fail

A couple of weeks ago I attempted to make a cake in a jar as a thank you for some friends. Stupidly I forgot to leave ample room for the cake to rise. Oops! Will you forgive me if I tell you it was the end of a very long week?? Oh well, I know for next time. At least the photos look cool!

Let them eat cake

Something relatively low on my priority list is the wedding cake. I don't quite understand the cake cutting thing. Just seems awkward to me... But I do like sweet things. My man does too. In fact, he is very keen to have 2 desserts at our wedding, so the cake was inevitable. This week I'm sorting out the cake, or whatever sweet alternative we might choose.

Success!!

I'm SO excited! After a long day looking at fabric shop after fabric shop, the last place on our list ended with a fantastic result. Exactly the thing I was looking for! The fabric for my dress is being made as we speak and will be sent from Italy (the land of love, where else?) for the dressmaker in a few weeks! Yiew!! Another big thing partially ticked off the to do list. Next big hurdle, invitations!

More veil inspiration!

Hi guys! Apologies for being MIA this past week. Been very busy working and organising things. Yep, some of which were wedding related.

My veil is pretty much sorted and I'm getting very excited about wearing one! It's the only time you can really get away with it so I'm going to make the most of it!

To build a home...

You know you're getting old when you start buying homewares and dreaming of what certain spaces you may rent or own could look like. Yes, it was a big wake up call when I started shopping for sheets. And being excited about it.
Today I'm dreaming of our future kitchen. So many creative ways to display and organise things. Can't wait to grow my own herbs and host many dinner parties!
